Q: Chevrolet Tahoe?
I have seen this bumper on Tahoes its not stock, and it looks good with the clear lights but i dont know what its called it has no black rubber line across it…help!
A: I’m not sure what it’s called either. I would try visiting the aftermarket shops that do customizing and ask them. Or ask the driver of the Tahoe that you like where they got it. Good lluck
Q: Can a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe LS with 2 Wheel drive pull a camper and also is it good with going fast?
Can a 2009 chevrolet tahoe LS, pull a camper and go fast? does it have good horsepower? Is it often slow when stopping at a stop light and then starting back again? Thanks!
A: Them 2009 Tahoes have a pretty descent amount of HP i would say that its a pretty good truck to pull a camper it shouldn’t be to hard.
Q: Which is the fuse for the dome lights in a 1998 chevrolet Tahoe?
I have a 1998 chevrolet tahoe. Whenever I press the button to turn the little dome lights inside the truck, they don’t go on. Anyone have idea which fuse it would be inside of the fuse box?
A: It should be the same i dont have access to the 1999 Tahoe but im looking at the 2000 taho Owners manual. But it should be (ILLUM )fuse, for interior lights.
Q: Does anyone own a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe that is financed?
I am thinking of getting a new 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe financed. I was just wondering, what are your monthly payments and the interest rate is, and how long your term is. Thanks.
I tried to figure it out using the calculator at the GMAC website but its not working for me.
A: How’s your credit? The price of the Tahoe is obviously important, but the payments are also determined by the interest rate, which is determined by the quality of your credit.
If your credit is flawless, expect a rate in the neighborhood of six percent for a five year loan, a bit higher for six years, even higher for seven years or more. If your credit is not flawless, then the rate will be higher.
To approximate a payment, do the following:
Take the selling price and add twelve percent. This will cover taxes and dealer fees and registration. In some states, this will be less, as some states have very low registration fees and others have little or no sales tax. Adjust for your location.
Subtract the above total by your down payment. You now have an amount financed.
Guess at your rate, based on your score and credit history. Divide this by two.
Multiply the above (half of your expected rate) by the number of years you expect the loan to be.
As an example, if you can get six percent, divide by two, which equals three, and multiply by years (5), which equals fifteen. Multiply this by the amount financed. Add this result to the amount financed. Divide by the term in months. Viola! You have a payment.
Example:
Sales price fifty thousand. Add twelve percent equals fifty six thousand. Subtract down of ten thousand equals forty six thousand.
Multiply by fifteen percent (0.15) equals six thousand nine hundred. Add to amount financed equals fifty two thousand nine hundred. Divide that by the term in months (five years = 60) and you get a payment of eight eighty two (appx.).
The reason you divide the APR by half is that the balance of the loan goes down each time you make a payment, and eventually gets close to zero for the last payment. So, the average balance of the loan is about half the original amount finance. Since the interest is a bigger chunk of the first payment that it is of the last, the divide by two gets you a lower payment than the real one, but it provides a good estimate.
Happy hunting!
Q: what are the main different things between chevrolet tahoe and chevrolet astro?
i have chevrolet astro and thinking of replacing with tahoe , i know it has a bigger engine but have no other idea about it (i mean in the driving or using as a passenger) thanks.
A: astro = van
tahoe = not van
Q: how do i replace the rear hatch struts on my Chevrolet Tahoe?
The struts that hold up the rear hatch door on my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe are shot. How do I replace them, and where can I find replacement struts at a reasonable price?
A: the struts are held in place by a “ball and socket”. They should just pop off with a pair of bent needle nose pliers. They will also press on with a little force. Please be careful though, because even when they are worn they have a lot of pressure and will spring out. As far as I know, either the junk yard or the dealership can help you with the parts. I am not sure if anyone carries them aftermarket yet, but you could try jc whitney or lmc truck parts.
Q: Where is the button to fold the side mirrors on the 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 located?
I just got the 04 Chevrolet Tahoe z71 (Sweet Truck) and I wanted to know where is the button to make the mirrors fold automatically? I really think it is a real cool feature to have on a truck/SUV. Don’t you guys agree?
Thanks
A: Should be right by the window lock on the drivers door. It is very handy but remember you have to hit the switch it will not do it on its own.
Q: Is it possible to lower the brake pedal in the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe?

A: nice car

Q: How is the 07 Chevrolet Tahoe on gas?
How is the 07 Chevrolet Tahoe on gas? I know its a 4.8L v8 but like every truck is a bit different…..so how bad is it?
A: It has the highest MPG rating of any fullsize SUV at about 22 MPG highway since it shuts off half of its cylinders when it doesnt need them. A hybrid Tahoe and Yukon is being developed
Q: What car would you rather have a Chevrolet Tahoe or a Chrysler Pacifica?
If you hade the choice of a 2002 Tahoe or a 2005 Pacifica? Not taking the mileage, or condition or the price in consideration. Somebody is buying it at auction for us. We have to have a third row. But if you had the choice which one would you get. Thanks
A: I would buy the one that is rated the best on Consumer Guide Reports. I’ve never owned these two vehicles, but if I had to choose without any knowledge of the performance of these vehicles I would pick the Chev over the Chrysler. My mom owned a Chrysler and it was a piece of *BEEP* mind you there are lemons out there. Although I like the fact that the Pacifica is a newer vehicle. Tough call.
Q: Will the new Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid for 2008 be able to use ethanol?
I know GM is coming out with a Tahoe hybrid for the 2008 model year, but I was curious if it was able to use ethanol to power the gas motor like many of the non-hybrid GMs do now.
Any ideas?
A: I’m not aware that any production car today uses straight ethanol. FlexFuel cars use E85, which is a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. I’ll assume that you’re asking if the 2008 Tahoe hybrid can use E85.
I did some research and the best I can come up with is “no,” the 2008 Tahoe will not have a FlexFuel engine — it will burn only standard gasoline. Keep in mind that standard gasoline is usually mixed with 10 percent ethanol these days, so the Tahoe will use some ethanol — just not E85.
Reading up on the Tahoe, some of the fuel economy improvements come from weight reduction and aerodynamic work, things GM should have done long ago to improve economy in its regular gasoline fleet.
Q: what is the easiest way to change a fuel pump in a 2000 chevrolet tahoe?
it is the limited edition tahoe with the square body style.
A: Drain the gas tank, then remove the straps holding the gas tank to the vehicle from underneath (just make sure you’re not under it when you do) Then when you look at the top of the tank, you will see a place where all the wires go inside it- this is your fuel pump and sending unit- take it out, unplug it, and replace it… It sounds easy, but it’s actually a lot of work if you don’t have a lift…
Q: Where can I find the factory audio wiring diagrams for a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe?
I just bought a 99 tahoe with no stereo. when i put one in. the front door speakers work but the 4 other rear ones do not. i need to know if there are relays or an amp that run these speakers and where they or it is located.
A: Try http://www.installdr.com
Q: My 02 Chevrolet Tahoe kills once its been heated for a while?
If i drive my Tahoe all day long eventually once its heated it will kill on me. After it sits for a few minutes it starts right up, runs for a few minutes then kills again. I had the fuel injector and fuel filter changed which did not help. Does anyone know what this could be? Please help if you can. Thank you!
I forgot to mention, the truck showed a cylinder 6 misfire.
A: your tahoe dies
you can stick a screw driver into a plug wire and hold it a quarter inch from a good ground and see if it sparks be careful though its well over 10,000 volts it wont hurt you but it has one hell of a tingle if theres no spark;
possibly sounds like the ignition coil when it stops have someone turn it over while you tap the coil short of that you should have it checked
