Q: HOW MUCH CAN I GET A 70 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA FOR HARD TOP?
NOT RESTORD BUT NOT A PROJECT
A: Take a look at this 70 Barracuda, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Y7WXu9IBkw if you get it to look like a clone cuda like that one 20-35k easy, or go onto ebay and see what is offered to what yours looks like. For some reason everyone thinks that they can retire from selling that type of car but its a CAR. yes I know all about the rarity, I have even owned a 71 and 72 Challenger. Should have kept them, 1 was a 360 convertible but hey its a CAR. I guess it’s not that big of a deal to me, I have been working on Mopars for 25 yrs
Q: 1970 challenger 340/six pack or 1970 plymouth barracuda?
i’ve been interested in the ‘70 dodge challenger 340 six pack and the ‘70 plymouth barracuda, i’m wondering which one would be worth restoring and turning into a sleeper. also which color challengers are popular among collectors.
A: Good luck finding one! They are both pretty similar. I`d go with the Challenger though. They are gonna be even more popular when the new Challenger premiers next year!
Q: Where can I find an old 1970-1974 Plymouth Barracuda?
I am looking for a 70-74 Cuda that is need of repair caus im pretty broke but there is something about that car that makes me fall in love with it. I have tried salvage yards and no luck. Someone please help!!!
A: Too many people have fallen in love with the old Chrysler E bodies.
That is, the 1970- 1974 Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Barracuda.
Even total basket cases sell for quite a bit of money these days.
I wish I could have my 72 Challenger back
Q: Where can I look for classic muscle cars for sale?
I am looking to get a project car to restore. I want to get a late 60’s or early 70’s Barracuda a.k.a Cuda or Duster. It would be preferable if it is in the midwest. No ebay or cars.com please

A: WD is more reliable, the specs are almost the same but when I look for a HD I try to find the most reliable because I hate to lose important data, even if you back it up it is a hassle to be restoring or claiming HD warranties. So go WD, you won’t regret it.
Q: Looking for Restoration parts for a 1974 Plymouth Barracuda?
Hi, I’m looking for window hardware for a 1974 Plymouth Barracuda. By hardware I mean regulators, rollers, the works for the doors and the quarter’s windows. I’m trying to keep it original, so power window kits aren’t really a preference. I’m looking for manual window crank components.
Be advised I am also aware that the 70’s Challengers have the same exact doors and the windows so if you find anything listed as 70’s Challenger window hardware components, then that will work too.
All Help is appreciated, but please only post links to the actual parts, not just a site I “Might” be able to find them on! thanks!!!
A: i have bought a lot of parts like that through paddock, they sell new parts not used for them, here’s their site, good luck, http://www.paddockparts.com/Paddock/assets/html/homepage.asp?URLCheck=1
Q: Why does my Palit GTX 260 Sonic when fan speed is set to 70%, it emits a buzzing sound?
My Palit GTX 260 Sonic comes with a program called Vtune… through it i can edit the fan speed of my vc… however, whenever I set the fan speed to 70%, I hear this strange buzzing sound… is this normal? should i be worried about it?… I’ve got a Corsair HX620W PSU so lack of power shouldn’t be a problem ryt?… Here are my spec:

If there is a better one than those please tell me. which one of these is capable of putting on the best show when it comes to eating other fish. Only have 70 gallon tank. serious answers only.
Is a sabertooth fish really a good pet?
A: convicts especially when they breed, they will just beat up ANYTHING, there is no doubt about that my convicts killed the bucktooth tetras really badly
Q: Whats a good classic/american muscle car?
Im 16 and have had my lisence for about 2 months now and ive put a lot of thought into getting a nice classic project car. Im thinkin about getting either a ‘57 chevy bel air or get a ‘70 barracuda. Im thinkin about spending 2-4 grand.. something i can put work into until i get it into a nice lookin car. Any suggestions on AMERICAN MADE vehicles? classics only please…no ausi car or anything like that.
A: the best and the easiest to find parts for is the mustang,a 68 gt would be easy to restore and parts are all over the place for those, mopars are good cars but extremely hard to find parts for and when you do their really expensive,if you get a cuda watch out for the rust on those it can ruin the under carriage of them, and right now the price of mopars is down and the price of the mustangs is bringing more than the dodges will bring, good luck.

Q: 1970 Barracuda 440…..?
Im 18 and theres a pretty good chance I’ll be buying myself a ‘70 ‘Cuda in the coming months. I was just curious as to how easy these are to drive. It’s a standard, I’ve never driven standard and I know that’ll be a bit of a problem but manual trans. seems simple enough. They have a TON of power but is this a passable first driver?
I’m not gonna be flooring it everywhere either, I’ve been driven in this car before and the amount of torque scares the shit out of me, lol…but i gots to have it!!
A: If you don’t have power steering, you’re in for the drive of your life . . . especially with a stick! It’s certainly one of the more nose-heavy cars from the musclecar era.
There were two 440s available in 1970. The first one was the 440 Super Commando, which was rated at 375hp. It had one 4bbl. carb and, interestingly enough, was the rarest engine after the Hemi.
They actually made more ‘Cudas with the 440-6 engine – off the top of my head, over 1500 were built, which is pretty high for a solid 13-second car. That’s more than twice as many as the Hemi’cuda!
As you’re 18, I can understand the excitement of getting this car in your possession. But instead of driving the living bejeezus out of it (assuming it’s in pretty good condition), spend some time and get familiar with the car. Learn what the VIN means and figure out if the 5th character is a U or V. Does it have the data plate? Learn what those codes mean – I can help you out if you want. Check out the radiator and see what numbers are on it. Same with the carbs. Nothing says the car has to be stock, but it would be a good idea to learn what you have; then you will be poised to figure out how to bring it up to the next level, whether it’s performance or just how it looks.
Q: What is the song on the van commercial?
Does anybody know the song on that one van commercial where they say that we’re ‘bringin’ the van back’? It’s like the outline of a van and then they like fill it with like 60’s/70’s-ish stuff. Another one related to it would be the one where they play Barracuda and they have the different designs. I’m referring ot the other one! If you can help, Thanks!
~StarrGrrl
A: If it’s this one, then it’s Parliament’s “Give Up The Funk”.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOb-h8vrWf4
Or I hope that the commercial you’re looking for is similar to the one above.
Q: I have these original “poster” mopar ads from the early 70’s….?
I cant find info on them ANYWHERE. A guy gave em to me about 5 years ago, and was saying something about they are “worth up to 100 bucks” each. They are these really weird looking cartoon looking-painting type on a cardboard type posterboard, and they are about 23X36 inches and have a white backing on them. I have one for each of those muscle cars (Barracuda, SuperBee, RoadRunner, Challenger, and one with all 4 or 5 of them) does anyone know where I can find info on them? I tried google searches and yahoo and NOTHING works! I am not looking to cash in on them, just wanna know more about them. THANKS!
you know what, yes, they DO say Rapid Transit System on them. I always thought of them as being kinda tacky, not particularly valubale….shows what I know.
A: They sound like showroom materials or roof toppers, these just like the cars should be treated with care because you have some of the last ones left. The first year the 300c came out we had all of the showroom materials that were pretty much worthless because the cars sold off of the transport truck. I gave them to my F&I manager and she sold them on E-Bay for $150.00. That was for a current year car.

A: Change the processor.
Intel dual core is better than core 2 duo.
If you need to run big applications then it is far better than core 2 duo.
Q: Any suggestions for my new PC?
This will be the first computer I’ve ever built, though I’m fairly certain i know what I’m doing, well fingers crossed
Any suggestions on hardware would be appreciated, especially for the PSU, is 750W enough/too much? I plan to put GPU in crossfire maybe a few months after I’ve built it and been able to save for it so it’d have to be able to handle that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A: Replace the RAM with something compatible with the i7 920. The LGA1366 socket requires triple-channel RAM, so swap it for some high-quality but cheap DDR3 triple-channel RAM like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227477
Use this to calculate your power supply needs (including after Crossfiring), you’ll be using a high-end desktop motherboard:
http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html
It says you need 715 watts, so a 750 watt or 800 watt would be wise. I’d drop the supply to something cheaper to save money, like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006
It might not look as fancy, but that’s not worth $80. However, looking at your graphics card, you might want to upgrade to an HD4890, you can get them for about $170 after mail-in rebates, like this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102852
If you still want to Crossfire them, you’ll need at least 850 to 900 watts power using the provided calculator. After accounting for possible future upgrades and inefficiency (about 10%), try this power supply:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371012
It”ll work great for what you need, let you expand later, and should be very reliable. It’s also a very cheap 1000watt power supply.
Also, for your monitor, I’d consider dropping an inch or two in size to save about $40. Try this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052
You’ll save $40 after rebates.
For your case, you can try something cheaper (and better-looking) like the Raidmax Sagitta 2 (below), but it won’t cool as well. Your choice.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=raidmax+sagitta+2&x=0&y=0
Overall, an OK build. After the adjustments, it’ll max every game known to man at the highest resolutions of 2560×1600 or 1920×1200. I would definitely recommend going to Newegg.com for everything, you’ll save at least $200 by going to them over what you’re looking at now. Heck, if you’re getting the regular version of the P6T, you’ll save $40 as it is! Hope this helps, good luck!
