I hope its like a classic Charger, like how they made the Mustang, Camaro and Challenger retro. I hope these old designs made new would save Detroit.
A: That’d be cool, but it still won’t save the piece of crap companies. The new turbo cobalt ss is the only good thing any of them have come out with in awhile for saving their markets. And they won’t let people test drive em and they are only fwd, so there’s a minus there.
Look and Hyundai brining out the Genesis sedan and coupe, it is going to rock the motor vehicle world. What affordable car have any of the detroit makers made that has rocked the world, besides maybe maybe the cobalt ss? Sure, the ZR1 is fast, but not affordable to be easily marketable.
Dodge has messed up bad. They should’ve kept the SRT4 based on the neon instead of the ugly caliber, and added awd and fixed up some of the other problems. That would’ve helped save em.

A: Well just a turbo wont get you to a 1000 hp and I agree with Scott 30-50 k is not that far off since there is no enginering on how well the engine will stand up to a 1000 hp build and all the parts would be custom and you will need all the softwear in the ECM to be remapped for the fuel mixture when in and out of boost and at what psi. just the rewrite work on something that new would run you about 7-10 grand

A: I the end of the manual there is something called something along the lines of service intervals (or something) follow those and you will be fine.

I think the challenger is a much better looking car, muscle cars have to be black! , each are comparitable as far as engines. Which has a bigger back seat if someone had to ride back there? I read in car and driver challenger was the faster of the two..but both do good off the line.
A: Challenger totally. I’ve driven both and they both drive the same but I have yet to hear someone say “whoa check that car out!!!!” about a Charger while I hear it all the time about the Challenger. The modern Charger is a souped up 4-door sedan where the Challenger is a modern pony car. They’re both based upon the same LX design platform so they’re similar in size, weight, handling and performance. They both have SE, R/T and SRT8 trims. Aside from exterior appearance they’re almost the same car.
It comes down to this. Do you want a good looking 4-door or an awesome looking 2-door? End of story
EDIT: In regards to your additional info the Charger has the bigger backseat. It truely is a 4-door. While Challenger has the biggest backseat of any of its competitors (Camaro, Mustang, etc) it’s still only a 2 door and thus smaller back seat.

A: You would be better off super charging a Corvette vs turbo charging.
You can put a Procharger on for about $7,000 installed. Go to West Coast Corvettes and check out the options. Magnusson’s are a little more expensive, and will require an after market hood as well. This may not be an issue if you are going with a body kit.
Check out East Coast Superchargers – they do great work. However, unless you don’t care about the warranty on the car, supercharging or turbocharging WILL void the warranty.
You may also want to consider upgrading the brake system to the ZO6 brakes (or comparable aftermarket). That much more horsepower will require better stopping power.
All this being said, I would not do any of the above. Go with a cold air induction unit, long tube headers, hi flow cats and a good exhaust system (recommend Corsa). Better than that, just buy a ZO6 or a ZR1.
Something to consider…A stock C6 Corvette with 436hp will smoke 95% of the cars on the road. The car only weighs 3100lbs. Doing the above will give you about 35-40 more hp which will take care of another 2-3%.

A: About 20,000$.

It’s not a matter of a 600 horsepower turbo. It’s a matter of rebuilding the engine, fuel delivery, electronics, piping, etc, and building the entire engine up to 1000 horsepower.
As far as scissor doors? Slap yourself.

A: My rental company rents Chargers (minus the tint and rims), however, you have to be 21 to drive our cars–even if your dad rents the vehicle for you. No exceptions.
If you get caught, you will be arrested for unauthorized use of a rental car, the car will be impounded and towed to one of our nearest rental facilities, and all charged to daddy’s credit card (with or without his permission), which is required for our rentals. Plus, your daddy will never be able to rent from us again. Just so you know.

A: Chargers are not muscle cars. Challengers are an american muscle car.
Chargers used to be a muscle car.
Challengers are pure muscle and Chargers are like a Dad car. For someone who wants to have a muscle car but has to lug his kids around.
Although the R/T and SRT8 Charger are pretty cool, it’s just not a muscle car.

I have to choose between a 2010 Camaro or a Charger. I think both are nice but i want to know which car is better and faster.

A: Well comparing a Vue to a Charger isn’t really a good comparison.
I didn’t really like the Charger when I was in it. It seemed short on head room to me.
Make sure you don’t get it with that anemic 2.7 V6 in it, what a joke. The 3.5 V6 is a little better, but still a slow car. If you want any kind of fun/power you’ll have to get the 5.7 Hemi or the SRT 6.1
